RICK FOGEL
Managing Partner


Rick started his career as a barback with Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress in Orlando, FL. After a decade of promotions and strategic career moves, Rick was able to obtain valuable operational food and beverage knowledge in not only bartending, but also bar training and beverage development. These invaluable experience gained Rick the coveted title of "Master Bartender", and the title of "1993 World Bartending Champion".

In 1994, Rick began working for a beverage consulting company, and opened over 30 restaurants including Bennigan's, Chili's, Red Lobster and Bahama Breeze. After three years, Rick started Bar Starz and was able to apply two decades of experience in luxury brands, casual dining, and high volume into a balanced beverage consulting company.

Chris started his career with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company as a pool attendant. After completely embracing and understanding the luxury brand philosophy, Chris began obtaining promotions quickly and ultimately worked himself into Executive positions in a short period of time. During this time, not only were promotions and knowledge being obtained, but Chris was also able expand his reach by becoming a Sommelier and Mixologist.

In 2005, Chris was approached by Rick Fogel of Bar Starz to assist in developing an Entertainment Complex in Downtown Orlando with an extensive focus on food and beverage. After developing and opening multiple restaurants, nightclubs, and lounges, Chris and Rick began working on more projects together.

 

In 2010, the relationship and business demands between Rick and Chris had blossomed to the point where Chris became a Managing Partner of Bar Starz. Bar Starz has since evolved into the industries premier Beverage Operations and Systems Specialists. Bar Starz now focuses on:


 

- Bar Layout and Equipment Design
- Signature Drink Development and Menu Engineering
- Beverage Standards and Systems Development

 

 

- Training Manual Procurement
- New Casino, Hotel and Bar Openings
- Server Training and Standards

 

 
Since inception in 1997, Bar Starz has been commissioned to develop and/or manage beverage programs for such companies as Marriott International, The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, MGM Grand Las Vegas, Harrah's Casino Group and LXR Resorts to name a few. To date, Bar Starz has opened over 200 bars and has trained over 10,000 bartenders and servers.
